Welcome to the LFW Daily Diary.

The London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2009 shows have just commenced at the new look BFC Tent. We are here, at the heart of it, to provide complete coverage of London Fashion Week. Each day, you will receive everything you need to keep fully informed.

We are thrilled to announce winners of September 2008's Fashion Forward design sponsorship, the initiative set up by the BFC to support designers across the vital transition from emerging talent to established designer.

The winners are:
Christopher Kane, previous New Gen winner and one of the most exciting talents around.
Erdem, the London ready-to-wear line established in 2005 by Erdem Moralioglu.
Marios Schwab, his most recent show SS08 was chosen as one of the top ten shows of the season by Style.com.
Roksanda Ilincic, feted for her haute couture contemporary feminine style, her work epitomises modernity and glamour. She is awarded Fashion Forward sponsorship for the second time this season.
